I gotta say it. With the help of RW media and Big Tech, Republican parents are raising a generation of sociopaths. All of the leaders in their movement - political, religious & otherwise - are teaching them that absolutely nothing matters except gaining & preserving power for Republicans.
Touchstones like citizenship, service, honor, tradition, facts, truth, faith, and family are malleable or disposable without consequence *if & when* they are in conflict with the pursuit of power. #politics
As some of you may recall, I started offering mobile wallpaper as a win-win way to get something fun and support what I do in lieu of a Ko-Fi and all that. The first two haven't been runaway hits per se but there's been enough interest to think it's a fair idea to continue to add more options. ❤️
So I hope you might enjoy seeing the latest choice!

I believe in trans unity. Trans women and transfems have been almost universally kind to me, and I believe that we are natural allies with a lot in common. #LGBTQ #LGBTQIA #transgender #trans #TransUnity

Photographers don't depend on the work of illustrators to produce their photos.
Camera phones don't work by leeching off of the existing work of professional photographers.
AI Art tools are absolutely trained on the prior work of humans, including many creative humans whose livelihoods they may be endangering.
This is a big difference.
I think, as with the obvious and in a way correct complaints about human-shaped robots etc, this is because that's what lets the author tell the story they want to tell, whether or not it's technically maximally sensible.
Obviously people could end up visiting possible alternative worlds where basically everything is different, and those are in some sense much more likely than ones where it's the same people but in different relationships (say), but for many purposes the latter make for the best story.
In a possible-worlds scenario, after all, there's a world where ANY given thing happens, so we might as well tell the stories of the most interesting ones! :)
Sunny morning lakeside, Loweswater is another of our local spots.
Some nice spots to wander and the woods up to Holme Force waterfall are great, but can not walk along the shore completely due to landownership so you have to follow the road in places.
Still worth it for the bits you can walk along 😀

I find that following a bunch of hashtags (including "introduction"), and regularly reading the Local and Federated streams, finds lots of new people for me.
(The people that Twitter suggested that I follow were rarely people that I wanted to follow, fwiw...)
A consciousness somehow associated with matter.
Posting about culture, philosophy, politics, AI Art Tools, NaNoWriMo, Software Development occasionally, the relationship of consciousness to matter.

If your profile tells me nothing about you, it's less likely I'll follow you (back).
