@cmclase @joeyfox @cleanairkits it’s absolutely a problem when all the data on most available options is CADR at maximum speed as they are at the moment, but there are existing solutions available at acceptable noise levels where specifications for lower speeds are available. Will be interesting to see if any manufacturers look into using PC fans.

My PhD. A summary in plain language…. I’m creating new types of climate data that aren’t average. Because average is Wrong.

Two things: the climate varies year to year with wild swings in the southern hemisphere AND because of climate change, we don’t know what average is anymore.

Why it matters? We use climate data to make lots of regulatory decisions. Including how houses should be built. We have to get it right.

They had to remove two shows - both involving drag performers - from the line-up of a major winter festival in Calgary due to threats of hate and harassment. The protesters at local drag events include followers of Artur Pawlowski, a notorious anti-queer "pastor" with a long history of terrorizing 2SLGBTQ+ people.

Oh, and Pawlowski is a friend of Premier Danielle Smith. She ran her leadership campaign on a promise to grant him amnesty.

I look at dialysis patients and ask if they would do better with a transplant or without and, not surprisingly, nearly all of my patients would be better off with a kidney transplant.

The transplant team looks at dialysis patients and says which of these people would do best with a transplant, and the answer is a more healthy, wealthy, and white cohort.
