In den Niederlanden ist die Regelung der Nitratbelastung ein Problem, das ausgesessen wurde und jetzt, als es spät geregelt werden sollte, zu einem landesweiten (Regional-) Wahlsieg einer neuen populistischen Partei (BBB) führte.

Jetzt scheint das gleiche mit der Umsetzung der Wasserentnahmerichtlinie (WRRL) zu drohen. Bisher ist freiwillige Umsetzung vorgesehenen.

TGV Barcelona - Paris arrives Nîmes 3 minutes after the TER tk Marseille has departed. Next train to Marseille is an hour later

And as the TGV stops 10 min in Perpignan and 8 min in Montpellier it’s *not even hard to fix*

And yes I know TER is a regional responsibility. So Occitanie & SNCF Voyageurs could you maybe speak to each other? 🤦‍♂️

Based on daily data, the atmospheric CO2 concentration at Mauna Loa averaged ~424.0 ppm over May 2023. That's ~3.0 ppm higher than last year, and that's a lot.
It is also the highest monthly average on record, and most probably of the last 15 million years.

We have hit the 10 out of 10 drought index in #Copenhagen.
Our garden pond has a water level about 10cm lower than it should be. The plants in the garden are starting to suffer. None of the roads we heard calling appear to have bred successfully this year, though there are plenty of newts.
The rainwater tank is empty.
No rain in the forecast for at least the next 2 weeks.
