@realcaseyrollins Some annoyances that I feel better not seeing in my local feed.

Hence, used Mute a local user.

@realcaseyrollins That makes you think what a drag it is for site Staff, who have to keep an eye on all posts.

I plan to volunteer for mod staff, and then wouldn't be kosher to have posts unseen on a local instance feed. but for now, it's ok and freshens things up nicely.
