Young people today are getting a raw deal, my own kids included. So I have lots of sympathy.
But consider what some other generations copped with, and it might help.
People living during the 1930s, a huge Depression. No jobs, no Welfare state, no jobs for many.
See also "Grapes of Wrath". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grapes_of_Wrath
The whole decade was tragic and difficult.
Then a World War ensued, and many of the young people who lived thru the Depression years are now called in to serve and fight overseas. Many never returned.
The two experiences marked them, and their character for life.
A good book about it? "The Greatest Generation"
@design_RG @realcaseyrollins every generation has it's own problems and qualities. But, one can't hate on someone of a particular generation or generalize them.
For my generation, gen z, we are often termed as stupid, stubborn and boring people. They say, we are always on our phone, doing nothing productive. But they don't realise that we are put under so much pressure to succeed that there's no place for failure.
I have a lot of respect for previous generation for everything they did right.
