We had always damage with our kitties attacking the xmas tree. A fully caged one might work, but it looks funny.

@design_RG Guarantee you the cat will still destroy the tree, they will just fish it to the side by yanking on the wire for the lights then trashing it.

In fact simply by putting it in a cage will make the cat a thousand times more determined to destroy it

@freemo Yes, I think you are right. They do seem to have a nerve for those things.

@design_RG There is only one sure fire way to ensure a cat doesnt destroy a christmas tree: set up a tree with the explicit intent that you want the cat to destroy it, at that point the cat will promptly ignore its existance :)

@freemo Ours used to have a toy train, which could be turned on ocassion. The boys loved it, sicne they were little.

The cats, they played with these too.

I think accepting defeat and being phylosophical is a good way to go, yes. 😜
