* Using Lists on Mastodon - guide posts *

...and then you discover someone who's cool and has interesting posts, simply by following a hashtag on which one of her posts showed up.

Serendipity is a lovely thing. Thanks @snow , your post lead me to find @twistylittlepassages - Amazey.

Amazey has some interesting posts and notes -- and a pearl I am going to link to here.

"Using Lists in Mastodon" -- is something I have seen when passing by the Preferences controls panel, but never quite understood. And I don't think it's well documented either.

So, we depend on luck in figuring it out ourselves, or finding someone who did and shares - like she did.

A neat feature, she explained it succinctly in two short posts.

TY, Amazey! :smiley:

@design_RG @snow @twistylittlepassages I also like putting all of my @GuppeGroups into a list so I can find recent posts easily

@datatitian

That is a nice idea, Will. Guppe Group is something the Fediverse doesn't seem to have yet, and I am glad you have been building it up. Thank you!

Would you mind if I made a Blog post and explained what it is and how it works, how to create new groups? It might attract some attention and new traffic, if you want to observe it under more load. Had planned to ask you this, it's on my possible ideas list. Thank you! 😉

yes, absolutely! Happy to answer any questions you have during the process

@design_RG I used lists extensively on Twitter. It isn't different here on Mastodon, as it seems, though I haven't created one here yet. @snow @twistylittlepassages
