@globcoco I tried with Eugen R, the head of Mastodon development, and he wasn't too appreciative (he's a hard core, old time Twitter user and likes the 4 columns skinny displays of TweetDeck -- the source of his design for Mastodon's own AWI).
But I am not giving up -- I plan to take that and present it to the Glitch-Social devs, at their own Git hub hangout.
Maybe they will see there's a use for this; a highly productive layout for reading and writing.
This is so nice that it's the only reason for me not to use Pinafore 100% of the time.
I prepared a mock up and showed it to Nolan to create a similar 2 panel Pinafore, but he didn't bite. 😜
