ich verstehe ja, daß "kalt" umzusteigen schwer ist, twitter war lange unser wohnzimmer. aber versucht beim "zweigleisig fahren" zumindest, hier ein wenig zeit zu verbringen, ein wenig exklusivcontent zu lassen, leute kennenzulernen oder sowas.

Der Versuch, Ordnung ins Chaos zu bringen, ist selbst ein Teil des Chaos.

@dichotomiker Everybody has their own preferences. Pleroma has cool stuff too. And maybe you'd like to take a look at Misskey as well, so many features that Mastodon don't have. There are a few more platforms but they're a bit more obscure.

Das großartige: Google-Bots werden deutlich seltener mit Paywalls und anderen nervigen Begleit-Eigenschaften des Browsens konfrontiert als wir normale Nutzer:innen. Bspw. Zeit.de lässt sich damit komplett ohne Plus-Abo oder Werbung lesen. Selbst der Consent-Banner bleibt einem erspart.

mastodon.social has once again caught up with real-time. I haven't received the new machine for the database yet (seems like the technical issues unfortunately overlapped with some bank holidays; hopefully tomorrow) but I managed to find a way to optimize some code that seems to have helped. Thank you for being patient, and again, I'm really sorry you couldn't experience Mastodon at its best the past few days on here.
