You have to provide more information than that. Did you check logs? Journalctl?
@dimi My sympathies and good luck. I've had my share of Linux desktop adventures but have not been back.
For alternatives, I have heard good words about Pop!_OS.
Also surprised to see MX Linux still on top of the DIstrowatch page hit ranking.
Day 2 of trying to install #Linux on this old laptop
I couldn't get Xubuntu's GUI to load despite some help from @lucifargundam (thanks).
#BunsenLabs ran into a partitioning problem.
Now I'm having trouble getting my live USBs to launch on the laptop and I have no OS installed. (BIOS does recognize the USB drives, at least.) Will give it until midday ...
