I have a theory about Disclosure Day, the upcoming Steven Spielberg movie. I'm a scifi fan, so I get excited by new scifi movies, and I saw the trailer for it and it looked intriguing.

Now keep in mind I am literally a nobody. I have no inside information. I'm not a movie reviewer. This is a hunch.

In the trailer, there's a line that the truth belongs to "seven billion people."

The population of the earth, however, is over EIGHT billion people.

It's possible that's just an incorrect line, or I'm missing context. But I *think* it's a clue about the plot of the movie.

So here's my hunch: the movie is about the fact that the aliens are already here, living among us. They mean us no harm. The government has kept this a secret to protect the aliens FROM US. And Emily Blunt's meteorologist isn't turning into an alien,

she already was one and is being involuntarily revealed as such. The "seven billion" line is a reference to the number of *humans* kept in the dark about the aliens' existence, because the population of the planet also includes large numbers of aliens.

I'm probably wrong. Laugh at me in six months.

@theleftistlawyer I think you might be right. Fits the vibe I had from the trailer. It'll be Men In Black but without the laughs. Not feeling as good about it as for Hail Mary.
