If you ever thought to yourself, "Wow, I'm pretty sure the OMD synthpop hit 'If You Leave' from the Pretty In Pink soundtrack would actually sound really good as a 50s-style rockabilly ballad," then you will be gratified to know that Paul and Storm and I had EXACTLY the same thought, and actually made JUST THAT VERSION of this very song. In fact, we made this just for you. You're welcome. We love you.

@mhoye running red lights ain't cool. Why risk your "working dad" life to shave seconds of your trip time?

Wonderful people of the fediverse, please find below the rant of the month. Here is a small excerpt:

... spending half of the planet's engineering efforts to add chatbot support to every application under the sun when half of the industry hasn't worked out how to test database backups regularly.

@foolishowl @lori browser's tend to optimistically grab spare RAM in absence of external memory pressure. They'll release it too. So very hard to asset they use "too much", never mind some tools that multi-count shared RAM between the various processes

So, first issue, popovers (eg., drop-down menus, app menus, etc.) don’t work on GTK 4 apps (like System Settings in GNOME) on touchscreen devices. Three-year old bug: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/
