Twitter’s Grok AI is now being used by people to undress women, as verified by the BBC. Twitter refused to reply, simply saying “legacy media lies”. It isn’t a lie.

In the UK it is illegal to create or share non-consensual intimate images, including via AI. The UK gov say they are investigating.

Thinking back to last year I remembered the us-east-1 outage, how it affected Signal and how some of the users freaked out that they have to rely on US hyperscalers.

Wouldn't it be useful if @signalapp (and maybe similar providers) published their infra requirements with little crosses and ticks, so alternative providers could aim for "good enough for Signal" service levels?

Does anyone know where KDE stores the result from using "calibrate tablet"? It generated some really bad calibrations and I need to delete them or something. I've giving Wayland another test and it's not going well.

edit: never, went back to X11 for the time being. I need some critical patches to land before settling in.
