I use a vpn on my mobile: wireguard on a server i control.

Two benefits of using a vpn:

Moves my apparent geo someplace else. Helpful for watching le tour.

Puts my mobile traffic through dns adblock and my own firewall rules.

Thats about it. No secrecy. No “opsec”. No magic.
