How to stop Killers from turning on each other?
Engineering CAR-NK cells with ‘don’t kill me’ ligands circumvents problem of trogocytosis-mediated fratricide.

Careful how you mess with Acetyl-CoA carboxylase. A critical role for ACC in metabolic regulation of the innate immune response in macrophages @ScienceAdvances https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abq1984
Wondering how accurate #AlphaFold models are?
We compared #AlphaFold predictions with experimental data. Many parts are great, but even high-confidence #AlphaFold predictions have distortions, domain movements, backbone errors, and side chain errors.
Some great advise for young scientists from Ben Feringa:
👉withstand failure
👉show perseverance
👉take inspiration from small successes.

Delighted to receive #ERCStG to continue studying early cell fate decisions in the placenta using high-throughput genomics, computational/AI and synthetic biology tools!
Now, that is some good multi-tasking !!!
Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 functions as a protein phosphatase to dephosphorylate histone H3 and suppresses PPARα-regulated gene transcription and tumour growth
Great article providing interesting insight into how #mastodon is different to the #birdsite. Seems to me like a much more wholesome place to be. https://www.wired.com/story/the-man-behind-mastodon-eugen-rochko-built-it-for-this-moment/
Last week I heard a speech by Prof. Dame Sarah Gilbert. She of the Oxford vaccine. A woman whose team's work is calculated to have saved several million lives. She warned that Britain's dismal failure to remember, learn and expand on the hard fought achievements of the last few years placed us back to square one when (not if) it happened again.
This piece is a depressing demonstration of that.
A new (but also ancient) mTORC1 inhibitor——“mTORC1 senses the capacity of a cell to synthesize FAs by detecting the levels of malonyl-CoA”

⚡️New @biorxivpreprint from the lab!⚡️
Wonderful collaboration with the labs of @CDV1893, @TelemanLab, and @LabVanni, spearheaded by @Raf_Nic and @laura_brohee.

To those feeling an energy barrier about #MastodonMigration, it is easy. Once set up, you can cross-post between #Twitter and #Mastodon using: https://moa.party. They are essentially mirrored, post on one = post on both. One fails (#Twittershutdown) you have one left 👍
Really nice paper and great reminder that in vitro metabolism is not the same as in vivo metabolism. #Immunometabolism needs to move in vivo. Try #QUAS_R to look at in vitro or direct ex vivo glutamine uptake https://www.biorxiv.org/ 😉
