Wondering how accurate #AlphaFold models are?

We compared #AlphaFold predictions with experimental data. Many parts are great, but even high-confidence #AlphaFold predictions have distortions, domain movements, backbone errors, and side chain errors.

Some great advise for young scientists from Ben Feringa:
👉withstand failure
👉show perseverance
👉take inspiration from small successes.

Delighted to receive to continue studying early cell fate decisions in the placenta using high-throughput genomics, computational/AI and synthetic biology tools!

Now, that is some good multi-tasking !!!

Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 functions as a protein phosphatase to dephosphorylate histone H3 and suppresses PPARα-regulated gene transcription and tumour growth

Great article providing interesting insight into how is different to the . Seems to me like a much more wholesome place to be. wired.com/story/the-man-behind

Last week I heard a speech by Prof. Dame Sarah Gilbert. She of the Oxford vaccine. A woman whose team's work is calculated to have saved several million lives. She warned that Britain's dismal failure to remember, learn and expand on the hard fought achievements of the last few years placed us back to square one when (not if) it happened again.

This piece is a depressing demonstration of that.

Should have been “in VIVO or directly ex vivo” - unfortunate typo 🫣🤣

To those feeling an energy barrier about , it is easy. Once set up, you can cross-post between and using: moa.party. They are essentially mirrored, post on one = post on both. One fails () you have one left 👍

Really nice paper and great reminder that in vitro metabolism is not the same as in vivo metabolism. needs to move in vivo. Try to look at in vitro or direct ex vivo glutamine uptake biorxiv.org/ 😉
