My friend Greg Appelbaum (not on mastodon) is hiring TWO Clinical Research Coordinators to join his team in the Interventional Psychiatry Program in San Diego! He is a great and super fun person to work with 💃🏻

When I was a boy I spent entire afternoons imagining what it would be like to walk around inside the Great Pyramid at Giza.
Now there is an online virtual walk-through, *inside* the pyramid, from the Giza Project at Harvard. Astonishing.

Alright folks it’s that time again.
Today’s post is about a band that I was lucky enough to see at the Cosmic Vibrations Music Festival, and who’s back in town this week.
The band I’m referring too is relatively new and is a psychedelic rock band out of Orlando Florida. This band is Timothy Eerie and the song is “Acid Lake”.
The music video is a psychedelic trip that may be a sensory overload for some. I think you’ll be glad you listened to this.
@jcbriscoe honestly if a 3rd world country gets it right we may finally look at our own system and realize we were wrong.
@higharchmage I’m starting to see posts from user with followers in thousands, presumably from us Twitter refugees who are finding our own, and that’s amid that chaos of stuff I didn’t think I’d ever see in social media.
@GeeNova ❤️@ the healed wound line
Based on discussions I've read in other NIN groups, it seems that The Fragile tends to be the fan favorite, while The Downward Spiral is considered their critically acclaimed masterpiece.
This is interesting to me because when I was a 16-year-old Ninphile in 1999, Trent Reznor was heavily criticized by a majority of my fellow NIN fans for being too soft or mainstream with that album. However, the music critics really responded well to that album. I never understood the fan's negativity during The Fragile era. That album spoke to me on a level that no other album could. It was layered, complex, and offered me a feeling of hope that The Downward Spiral didn't. The Fragile felt like an old wound that had finally healed. The scar was there. A daily reminder. But the pain was in the past.

New Isla Craig record! Intricate, soulful psychedelic folk from one of the best singers around. Featuring a brilliant backing band of Toronto luminaries too.
One of my favourite albums of the year!
@hisaac I LOVE Low, but not everything they've done. Of their albums, I prefer "Trust" and earlier, and don't really listen to their newer music.
My faves are "Things We Lost" and their first album "I Could Live In Hope." they're very different, so I'd try "Hope!" And there's tons of amazing songs across the early albums and EPs.
My other suggestion is, only put them on when you're in the mood for something extremely slow. When I'm anxious, Low often calms me down.
@andybell love your music ✌️

@rvawonk I remember when the Library of Congress was archiving every tweet, maybe the Internet Archive manages logs of tweets. I remember my middle school teachers had us keep Newspaper journals after 9/11 and I wish I still had mine.
So, if Twitter goes to hell and just becomes defunct, we’re going to lose entire chapters of recent history — including evidence of war crimes, human rights violations, and more. I hope we’re all paying attention to this and considering what we need to do to ensure that a billionaire can’t decide which parts of history to retain — and which parts to erase forever.
…Here to keep up with the times, meet creatives, and share music…
I’m a creative layman who loves music. I live in the Florida Panhandle and work retail.
