Symmetries from the realms of physics and nature will prove to be highly insightful with respect to designing more efficient systems for our “techno-agrarian” future, which are more scalable, equitable, complex, fairer and highly resource-efficient. In this article, I use the examples of scaling laws in trees (and even deep learning models) as guides for balanced emergence, and tax havens as unbalanced emergence…

I would like to encourage all the teachers out there who do such an incredible service to society. I think in many cases, teachers never get a complete picture of the downstream effects their work can have. I recently wrote an open letter to my physics teacher, Mr Rowlands (I also managed to track down his contact details so he could also read it, he was “lost for words….”).

Hi everyone. Been going into the written works of Raymond Williams recently. What a remarkable thinker he was. I wrote an article recently, using his body of works as a guide towards forming a narrative towards a more regenerative future. In case anyone may be curious; formresilience.com/regenerativ

As we engage in this transition to a regenerative economy, let's remember that our compass is neither an algorithm nor a strategic blueprint but a pure heart—a "Calon Lân"—imbued with the humility and authenticity that empowers us to lead, love, and transform.

Within the ruling political and business spheres, leaders confront a regenerative transition that amplifies the creative tension between self-interests and the collective good. In this article I explore this space, and ultimately, like all historical movements, it starts with the deep-seated convictions of the heart. I use Middle Earth’s Mirkwood as an allegorical aid 👍😊

For anyone engaged with AI & IoT within heavy industries (such as the steel industry), this recent article might be of interest. It highlights recent novel developments and opportunities of Informed-AI & Blockchain Technology in paving a sustainable path towards a fossil free future.

On this day I’m thinking about Ukrainians struggling without electricity, trying to stay warm, fearful of Russian violence and hoping to stay alive amid a war that is so unnecessary. May the coming year bring an end to the madness.

Merry Christmas everybody.
I always find Christmas Eve a day of reflection. There is no particular reason for this - I suppose the quietness of the house, whilst the kids sleep, lulls the mind into a reflective state. If you do get a quiet moment over the coming days and the weather is not welcome you outside; I recommend to capture your own worldview in a single sketch. This is by no means an easy task; it is compelling and also rewarding. Here is my own attempt.

Any writers / illustrators / artists who feel an altruistic / charitable calling about sustainable stewardship on our Earth? Here is the humble beginnings of the charity;

Would love to gather a group of contributors; writers and artists/illustrators to help with this. I thought a hashtag was a biscuit until about four years ago, so I’m no expert on the “digital currencies” of this age and I fully recognize the inherent strength of a diverse team. PM me if you interested

A quote that came to me today from one of my favorite thinkers (scientist/polymath):
“He that will believe only what he can fully comprehend must have a long head or a very short creed.” - Pierre Teilhard De Chardin
A succinct lesson in humility 😊👍

Took my kids sledging this past weekend on the mountain behind our village and whilst i gave them some warm rooibos - i noticed this seemingly fractal shape on a tree wrap. I suspect its from frozen water when it was stored, but could be wrong. I am fascinated about fractals though;
My daughter reminded of the “Let it go” song from @Disney@mastodon.social :)
“Frozen fractals all around…” Elsa, Frozen
Which is quite true.

Here are the humble beginnings of a not-for-profit / charity idea that I've had on my heart for quite some time; it's still in its infancy but I hope you enjoy the first few articles.
