Thats absurd, do you whine about someone using tangent to mean "to deviate" as being "unscientific".. of course not. Because most of us are smart enough to know when someone is speaking in one context or another.

Not always, but the vast majority of the time its pretty obvious. If they arent talking about or referencing their genetics or genitals then they arent talking about their sex. Sometimes that might be ambiguous, most of the time it isnt.
