WOOT! My gigabit internet just got activated, yes you heard that right, GIGAbit mother fucking internet... I have a fiber optic line coming direct into my home. After a year in the netherlands with shotty internet this is a very welcome change.
I guess that means I need to upgrade my internal network to 10GBe LAN now :)
@freemo Uhmmmm.... Does that mean you are planning to stay in the USA for the near term?
I am quite alarmed by the news coming out of the country.

@design_RG Dude you have no idea.. i forgot just how much of a tech paradise my home here is.. I was getting a little down in europe and I realized when I got home it was because I didnt have access to the tech paradise to get my spirits up..
The flip side is I **hate** interacting with americans, so that takes a toll on me too.

Everyone assumes I'm an extravert because I tend to command a crowd at parties. Truth is I am absolutely an introvert. Being in crowds is draining even with one or two people. Being alone recharges me.
* To remain vague enough to (hopefully) not self-doxx: service industry, but in a "classy" enough locale that I get full time with medical benefits and paid twice as much to do roughly the same work I'd do in most similar jobs. @design_RG
