If QOTO implements a Text based chat room which options would be the most appealing to you (all are federated in a sense).
@Kovaelin users get kicked or the whole server? Can i set a server that doesnt kick for inactivity?
@freemo Yeah, you can set the pruning settings, I believe.
@Kovaelin i wouldnt kick anyone for being idle.. in fact I'd encourage people to idle.

I am an user of matrix chat with home server on matrix.org which isn't always reliable and stable because its a big one... Irc is kinda hard to manage as one on one chat , matrix has both +e2ee
