Yea a few things broken I've been working on all day.

The Quote block was broken when i first released it yesteday, but has been fixed since last night. I can see your quoted text in your OP formated just fine.

What exactly is a hidden URL? Not sure about that one.

Bulleted lists work, I already used them

* one thing
* second thing
* third thing

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I ented a Bulleted list with the asterisk, similar to your exemple in the post above, and:

* It displays properly formatted as a Bullet in the Pinafore client.
* BUT as an asterisk in the mastodon default web client (under Waterfox, FF family browser).

Hidded URLS are when we use something like :

`Visit the [Really Cool Page here](https://server.url/directory/webpage.html)`

(so here we test CODE block above).

Will attach a screenshot of this in a minute *showing what it displays like in mastodon web client.*

@freemo @rgx@muensterland.social
Two screenshots of the same post.

1. as seen in mastodon web client.
2. as rendered in Pinafore client.

**CODE** formatting works perfect.

The **Hidden URL** one not, and it's a pity as it cleans up the posts a lot. But I am sure you can add it in.

Thank you...

@design_RG

Thats very strange. The hidden URL didnt render for me, but I have myself and seen others render markdown links without any problem before.

Both the bullets and the quotes rendered just fine for me in the web client, im not sure why it wouldn't render for you in your webclient though.

It would seem whatever is going on that is causing it not to render for you is something specific to you. Myself and others see it just fine in the web client.

My guess is that it may only work right on the default theme and the problem your seeing is only because your using a special theme. What theme are you using? Can you try and see if it works on the default theme for you? If that is the issue I can fix it.

@rgx@muensterland.social

@freemo @rgx@muensterland.social

Yes, that seems to be correct -- something specific to Browser or possibly the Theme in use.

I took a screenshot on MS Edge (Chromium based) and it displays things very nicely.

[Quick Testing a Hidden URL](artstation.com/zhangxii),

I use a Dark Theme, Widescreen from the Qoto settings default theme choices.

The MS Edge screenshot is from a generic user's view, not logged in so it's the default theme (the blaring white one, lol)

Ok I will fix the other themes too, thanks.

Another thing, compatibility with the Collapsed Mastodon plugin broke (Firefox).

Formatting looks awesome, thanks @freemo !

@gioypi

That sounds like a fix that needs to be done by collapsed mastodon, but if you give me some more details I can look into it.

The plugin does not change the appearance of the site as it should. The menu at the top left, along with the search bar, do not collapse and the empty space at the right of the columns (advanced view) is not used by the lists anymore.

Also, you are able to scroll beneath the lists and see the members of the instance loading... The text box for the toots is also moved from the left in the weird space underneath the lists.

I'll try to contact the developer.

@gioypi

Perhaps you can share some screenshots, I never used the plugin.

I was wrong about who the people at the bottom are, they are from other instances, too—not that it matters.

Indeed -- it has been reported previously on the git site for the add on. Mastodon 3.2.x broke something on it. It's been a few months, but it's just that Qoto moved to that branch level now. :(

@design_RG

Ahh yes, I remember you mentioning that. Shame they still havent fixed it.

@gioypi

@design_RG @freemo
Oh, I didn't know it had to do with the Mastodon version. I was writing a new bug issue.

@gioypi @freemo Yes, sadly it's been a while that it stopped working.

In other mastodon instances, we could notice it much sooner, as it appears that mastodo 3.1.x was when it broke. Here it took a little longer to be noticed, since the code was based on 3.0 until now.

Maybe try Pinafore? It's a very nice client, although single column and leaving all kinds of empty space on the screen.

I just gave up on the add on and have used Pinafore or regular web client with wide screen mode.

I sent a feature request to the Glich-Social github, asking them if possible to incorporate that same functionality.

Which indeed makes for a great work space.

and on Github : github.com/glitch-soc/mastodon

@design_RG @freemo Pinafore is cool, but I am too used to my 4 columns. I just disabled the add on for now.

@gioypi @freemo Yeah, it's a lot different than a full screen width client.

I asked the author of Pinafore if he could maybe create a two pane mode like I like (full screen width use) and he politely declined. It would be a big change in the project.
