Hey everyone, a supernova just went off in Cassiopeia!!!! Right now it is in the early stage so only visible by telescope but after a few days it is likely to be visible to the naked eye. Supernovas are fairly rare so might want to make some time to see this one!

@freemo I hope 20 lightyears (the closest star from that constellation) is far enough to keep us safe. :P

@freemo @Science but astronomers and soon the whole of earth looked on in horror as the 'rare event' was repeated once, three, ten times in the span of a month. it was then they realized, this wasn't a natural occurrence: someone was snuffing out the stars one by one...

...and they were getting closer.
