@freemo They’re probably trying to jam it through the “Fighting words” doctrine……. Which if you think about it, is kind of an official admissions that cops are violent thugs with poor anger management skills. I guess take the wins you can get 🤷

From what I can tell, that is exactly the case with that section of the bill.
The Kentucky legislature is Republican but the governor is a Democrat. If he signs the bill his own party will crucify him. If he vetoes it the GOP could spin him as being anti homeless because another part of the large and rather hodgepodge bill in question is about decriminalizing homelessness.
once censorship is legitimized, it will not stay one way round, it will come to both sides eventually.
