15,281 people.

As of this morning, 15,281 people have died from COVID-19 since the CDC relaxed their mask guidance.

That's more than 500 people per day who thought they were safe, but died because the CDC gave them bad advice.

@Pat Well thats just bad statistics right there.

People were dying with masks too, to assume that 100% of people who died not wearing a mask would have lived with a mask is obviously debunked by historic figures that clearly show people still died who wore masks.

If you really want an accurate answer you have to look at the rate people were dying before the CDC mask mandate was lifted and after. Did it go up? By what amount? thats your real figure...

@Pat So off the cuff lets do some real numbers (im looking up the numbers as I write this so I dont know what the outcome will be)...

May 13th was the change from the CDC re: mask mandate. The 7 day moving average of COVID deaths right before the change in mandate was 622 people per day.

As of yesterday, June 10th, the death rate for covid has plummeted in less than a month to only 387 deaths per day.

So if anything the mask mandate being revoked **saved** lives, didnt cause them. Though to really verify this we would have to look at the effect of vaccines, so its not necessarily the masks are the causative agent. But thats the whole damn point of removing the mask mandate, with vaccines they are simply not needed anymore, and the numbers show this to be true.

What also is telling is that the rate of decline of COVID deaths actually **accelerated** significantly after the mask mandate was lifted. In other words, it doesnt appear to be decreasing just because of the vaccine, but by removing the mask mandate it may have actually **saved** lives directly, though again we would need more in depth data to really verify that. But as I've presented many times int he past the data is highly suggestive that mask mandates result in more deaths not fewer. So this certainly seems possible, if not likely.
