Remember kids, if the USB thing doesnt work it is almost always the USB cables fault... if it doesnt work after trying a different USB cable... it is still the USB cables fault.
@freemo My experience is "it's almost always the usb socket the cable plugs into" rather than the cable itself. Especially for pocket-carried devices that can get lint or grit in the socket.
@khird@freemo yeap! Literally had this experience today while trying to install CalyxOS on my pixel. Tried 5 different cables and the problem ended up being 3 tons of lint stuck in the usbc socket where it would let it go deep enough to charge but not deep enough to transfer data.
