sure, supplements have to be done in moderation. Vitamin D is for sure not a panacea, but may play a part. Lastly, like your article says, it's probably better to have a good diet than to fill holes with supplements.

Its best to have a good diet AND take supplements. Even a good diet tends to have some holes. Take potassium for example, virtually everyone, even the healthiest of eaters, tends to get too little postassium
