Also, I have a #question here - what source code is this instance running?
I tried to find a fork on GitHub somewhere. The closest I can think of is Mastodon Glitch Edition, but it still lacks some other features.
Will these adaptations (circles, LaTeX rendering, etc.) be merged into mainstream Mastodon eventually?
They seem like wonderfully useful features!
This explains most of it and links to the source.
They are unnlikely to get merged into mainstream mastodon. Many of the features were proposed and rejected by the maintainer of vanilla which is why we ultimately forked our own.
Thanks, latex is a bit buggy right now but I plan to address that soon in the next release.
We spent a lot of time adding a lot of extras, seems a lot of people appreciate it.
@freemo @trinsec Ahh, thank you for clearing that up!
I suppose the LaTeX rendering isn't as important for mainstream content, but I personally might well make use of it, as well as a few other of the local features.
It looks quite well developed, especially the circles/groups/profiles are very appealing!
