Unlisted is a privacy option when posting that causes it to not appear in local or federated timelines, only on the user's profile and for followers.

For what its worth the disinformation and "bad reputation" isnt very far reachig. It is limited mostly to a small group of very small servers that tend to attack most of the fedi. Overall we actually have one of the biggest footprints in the fedi.
