All I want are affordable common-place off the shelf CPU heatsinks made of diamond. Is that so much to ask?

@freemo how many crates of semtex are you planning to donate to DuBiers to make the price of diamond go back down

@mzan you would need some sort of diamond paste.... The point of diamond is that its an insanely good heat conductor, atleast an order of magnitude better than many metals. Thermal paste would only slow it down.

@freemo ah, it was a (semi)serious toot.

I were thinking to a diamond reflecting the gold light in its internal... A scenic marketing effect!

@freemo @mzan Diamond dust shouldn't be too difficult to obtain. You could use some Palladium on the diamonds for RedOx on thermal transfer.

@freemo The diamond mafia might have more funds, though. For an effective defense, you might have to buy a few politicians.

@admitsWrongIfProven Luckily politicians are at a discount these days with inflation and all.

@freemo Be careful. If they die of old age before the situation is resolved, you get nothing. No refunds!

@admitsWrongIfProven

Oh no, if they die early I absolutely get something out of that... that, in and of itself, would be the greatest prize of all.

@freemo Omnious Futurama vibes... remember the robot serviced old folks homes? Where they collected old people and hooked them up to a super boring VR?

@admitsWrongIfProven

Reminds me of the Rick and Morty... slavery with extra steps :)

You mean the one where Rick made "pocket universes" and siphoned off their energy that he persuaded the inhabitants to generate by foot pedaling?
