How to get to see a user's local timeline of posts (on their server) just from following seeing user's post somewhere?
So right now on Qoto you see which server but click on it (under their name) and it goes to their profile not the server name...
The criteria is mouse clicks only, no typing, how to get to someone's server timeline of posts after seeing a someone post somewhere (like a reply or direct message)...
So if you're not on Qoto... how would you get to see the local timeline of post here? Can you do it just by mouse clicks?
#InstanceTicker might help here for qoto users....
@weepjp can you link server name (where it says qoto.org under my username with colour background) to go to public timeline instead of my username profile?
Anyway my profile is clickable using my name so this would be cool to click my name or my server (because we are 'the best'...
at making accessible things!)
I know some servers don't have public timeline (ned for being logged in) which is ok... but our is public
https://qoto.org/public
but some need to you login first or be logging in from that server such as mstdn.social:
https://mstdn.social/web/timelines/public/domain/mstdn.social
Overall I'd LOVE to see the post on other servers 1 or two clicks from any users...
ANY IDEAS / ANSWERS?
I asked @feditips and we didn't quite get there, so anything appreciated.

I would like a link to their servers public timeline (if it has one public)... like https://nerdculture.de/public
@freeschool @weepjp @feditips
That's starting to sound like a server-specific feature.

@lucifargundam
So not for qoto and many others,
but anyway if enabled or not all servers 'seem' to have the public page so even if no posts show you can go to the link and check it
It would be great to check as 1 click from the user that resides there,...
and even decide to add that to my list or wherever to check back from time to time (probably not add to main timeline)
@freeschool @lucifargundam
If you really just want the one-click solution, you probably want to write a grease monkey script to deal with that.
@barefootstache @lucifargundam
Right so when I would click server name it would parse it to turn it into servers public timeline link?
(kinda chop re-jig it and add standard link to the servers public timeline...?)
@freeschool @lucifargundam
If you design it that way then yes
@lucifargundam @weepjp @feditips Just a check - is this list (I'm replying to) all current and working? (any not or changed?)
Haven't checked in a while myself.

You can't view other people's personal timelines. You can only federate with their hosting server and gain access to that starting series of federated timelines.
