You can think whatever you want, but please don’t be offended when folks prove you wrong.

People who are inconsistent with their thinking annoy me.

I just read Dolly Parton once said, “Don’t be a dumbass.” I have a new found respect for her.

“Fair” doesn’t mean you get your way. It means you are treated according to the rules.

“I don’t like it, therefore it’s false” is so tiresome.

"Learning does not consist of stumbling immediately upon an immediate, absolute, and satisfying knowledge of something. Learning is rather searching for understanding within a context." Yup, pretty much.

Technologies tend to grow through accumulation.

The tools we have and how we use them influence how we act, interact, and—especially with information technology—think.

"Without integrative thinking disciplines of understanding, communication and action, there is little hope of sensibly extending knowledge beyond the library or laboratory in order to serve the purpose of enriching human life." Yup, pretty much.

If you have only one story that can explain your data, you are fooling yourself.

The best educators recognize that many factors influence decisions and progress and that many sources of data can be used to demonstrate learning.

The best educators also recognize the active role that he or she plays in creating the learning environment.
