I was half way through a meeting with dispersed folks yesterday when “the test” happened. One of the six participants did not get it by the time we ended.

Lots of folks contributing to a shared resource makes it overwhelming in short order. There is no technology that will make it less overwhelming.

The great thing about science is the fact that nature gets to decide who is right.

When I speak with young folks, I’m optimistic about the future. When I talk to folks my age, I’m not so optimistic.

That collection of data about you that is online… you have never controlled it.

One thing I learned during 35 years in education: Our lessons aren’t that great. Update. Revise. Refresh. They will get better.

Open cultures support creative outputs. It may seem counterintuitive, but it has been demonstrated.

We cannot ignore AI. We cannot hide from it. We need to adapt and adopt.

I work in . I spend half of my time answering requests to change default settings from x to y and the other half asking me to change them from y to x.

“Generative AI. The information may not be factual, but it is there.” Seems a low bar to me.

I dislike excessive emails too. I’ve decided to either learn to change my notification settings or ignore them.

Instructional supports. If they don’t fade, then they didn’t work.

Is it just me or does it seem “AI-powered investing advice” is probably snake oil… so it’s not unlike human-powered investing advice.

If you cannot accept being wrong, then teaching isn’t for you.

“Research proves….” No, actually it doesn’t.

If the video was recorded as a selfie in a car (or walking) with a single person speaking, you can be sure it’s not worth watching.
