"Use this technology, it will let you accomplish x." This is rarely true, but it proves terrific at accomplishing y.

In 1956, there were 570 computers installed in the USA. Seems about right.

When reviewing the applications for IT leaders, look to see if they have had a customer-facing role in your industry. If not move on. Well.. if you are interested in an IT department that prioritizes you organization's mission move on.

General purpose computers are marvelous (at least to someone who grew up without them). A single device to do all of these tasks. I mean, I'm wasting time listening to music, dooming scrolling, and sharing insights like this. If it wasn't for this thing, I'd be writing my book.

Your computer gives you the correct answer. It may not be what you want or need, but it is correct according to the rules it was programmed to follow.
