I am amazed at the number of people who claim to be advocates for inclusion who "don't need a microphone" in a large group.

I am worried about the teaching profession... I observed physical discomfort when the presenter said we should be concerned with learning more than with outcomes.

Sometimes AI does write funny tweets:

Just programmed my toaster to achieve sentience. Now it keeps arguing my toast is too burnt and needs to take over the kitchen.

"We want your feedback. We will consider it for next time."

Yeah... we don't believe you.

Go into a classroom where students are using computers. Do you hear only mouse clicks? The teacher is doing it wrong.

Sometimes I look at my QWERTY keyboard and shake my head.

I worked for a year in a school that had at least one think-pair-share activity at every single meeting. I'm just getting over the trauma. There are other ways to do get folks.

Uncritical adoption.... uninformed rejection.

Neither is good.

"We are all beholden to dysfunctional systems."
Truer sentences are rarely spoken.

Lost wages are a cost of education for many of our students.

"Completion matters, but so does learning."

This almost seems apocryphal.

If folks react to your direct reports with phrases like"that's just x being x" when they are a jerk toward colleagues or clients, you need to do your job.

Hey IT... standardization is great for you, but it doesn't always work to users. You gotta be flexible.
