I’m growing tired of those who string together different or even contradictory practices in #education as if they have discovered the solution to our teaching g and learning problems.

If you are a #teacher who resolves your own questions about curriculum and instruction by checking “the standards,” then you are missing the purpose of #education. You may be pragmatic, but that may not be sufficient for your #students.

The best question I heard all day.

Bankers realize the fastest growing branch is in their pockets. My guess is the fastest growing college campuses are as well.

Unlike many, I have faith the young people are going to save us from ourselves.

If the meeting has become a game of "guess what the leader wants," then I am going to stop engaging... and probably get out my phone... hmmm... I wonder what students would do if the class was the same game.

“We tried it once before” is not a reason.

Should schools serve as screeners of potential employees or trainers of potential employees? #highschool #highereducation

So many ways to dismiss feedback.

How an individual reacts when challenged in a respectful and professional manner is the most important aspect of one’s personality.

A leader who helps “put out fires” but doesn’t realize they are the same fires everyday needs to pay greater attention... and take the take action to prevent them from distracting from the work.

Your tech support is great... I just wish I didn’t have to call everytime I used your product.

“Human individuals are attuned to the common ground they share with others....” at least that is how we evolved... now... not so much.

Can we agree to stop using PowerPoint templates if the default colors do not follow the 4.5:1 rule?

So much talk of #data #assessment #achievement #standards #scores in #education. Too bad none of that time, money, human capital is directed towards learning.

Ideas are different from information... and more interesting and useful.

Innovation does not happen when you copy successful models.
