Ignorance is preferable to error….
-Thomas Jefferson

Uncertainty equals dissent.

I can’t argue with that.

Consensus matters, except when we are trying to get to the truth.

“You don’t measure what you think you measure.”

Brian Christian sure was correct about that!

“Reason as if your knowledge is incomplete and potentially flawed” is a good rule for AI… and humans too.

If you are a teacher who asks "why were you late," you need to resign. If you are an administrator who observers it, you must call the teacher out... yes... in front of students.

Is delivering content and tracking views (which any worthy LMS can do well) teaching?

You don’t get to understand ideas by learning definitions of more terms.

What if education was based on building what doesn’t yet exist?

Interdependence is the basis of effective organizations.

I just read a piece about how textbooks are a "disruptive innovation." Sure, they might interfere with textbook profits (if we can continue to increase adoption), but I think it is disingenuous to suggest textbook will disrupt .

If you are faced with the same situation again, if you don’t see it differently, then you did not learn from the first experience. Teachers, please stop and think about this.

Science is built on inquiry grounded in controlled observation and logic. This ensures we can accurately link changes to their causes.

A crucial principle of science is to identify and reduce bias. It's essential for forming conclusions that truly reflect nature.

Educators face unique biases from their preferred methods of thinking and acting in professional settings, which can be hard to spot.

For maximum impact, instruction should always begin with a problem that learners need to solve.

Once educators believe a method will "work," any data collected tends to simply confirm their bias, rather than objectively test it.

"Data-driven" educators can sometimes fool themselves and constituents by presenting recommendations as objective evidence, when they might not be.
