One reason I accept late work is I’d rather have students use their time working on assignments rather than wondering/ stressing over extensions then composing requests for extensions.

One year my PD goal (which couldn’t be an official goal as it didn’t align with district initiatives) was to have a personal interaction with each student (looking them in the eye greeting them with their name counted). Best teaching decision ever. I continued it until I retired as a teacher.

Many in education fail to realize the incongruity between "standardized curriculum" and "teaching for diverse futures." We hear "we value students diverse interests and skills," but that is not reflected in curriculum and instruction decisions.

If you rely on others (esp. family members) for your tech support, please keep a list of your passwords... username and password and what is gets you in to. Please don't tell my network security students I posted this, but do it anyways.
