When “is it supported by observation?” replaced “doesn’t this make sense?” you are beginning to understand how it works.

What do we do with books in which the author makes some compelling arguments in early chapters, then makes some pseudoscientific claims later? I'm talking claims that have been discredited for decades.

Calls to clean the air
must be opposed
for they would start us down
a very slippery slope,
sure it may start
with cleaning the air
but what’s next:
clean water or clean energy?
That is a dangerous path
better to tell everyone
that they are lucky
just to be breathing.
