I think this article encapsulates how many #academics and #educators across #universities #colleges and #schools are feeling right now about #ChatGPT namely that what is proposed by its developers as a tool of progress to support workers is in fact going to do the opposite and compound work pressures already exacerbated by #COVID19

Witness already the scrambled responses by #school education departments and #university faculties to address the risks of ChatGPT to #assessment, academic integrity and student learning

I'm not in any way encouraging a Luddite response to #ChatGPT of denial and banning
but as a sector we and also our students face a difficult transition as we move to assessments less susceptible to #AI generated answers. During this transition, we face a potential avalanche of misconduct cases which will cause stress and anxiety for #students and staff alike.
