@freemo I asked him for a source for those numbers and was ignored. As usual.
hygiene • Europe, I am disgusted with you
@InvaderXan I once watched a coworker rinse his hands but not use soap after taking a dump. I was very close to shouting at him!

A friend posted this on Instagram because she was horrified and now so am I, so I'm inflicting it on you too. The percentage of people who don't bother to wash their hands after using the toilet is appalling TBQH.
Worth noting too, that this is based on a survey, so these numbers are probably overestimates. Studies in the UK suggest that only a tenth of people who claim to wash their hands actually do!
That does it. I'm moving to Bosnia. Also, I'm never shaking hands in the Netherlands ever again.
@crackurbones This sounds incredibly unsanitary.
Since I won't join reddit just to post the following to /r/MyNoise (or for any other reason), I figured I'd drop this I made here. It's what #mynoise calls a 'super custom generator' which I've meticulously arranged to sound like one is traveling through a dark place with only their torch: I attempted to create an ambience of anxiety and dread.
While everyone's been distracted by #corona #covid #wuhan virus, Congress has been trying to pass the following:
"The bill, known as the Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies (EARN IT) Act, grants sweeping powers to the Executive Branch. It opens the door for the government to require new measures to screen users’ speech and even backdoors to read your private communications—a stated goal of one of the bill’s authors."

“I love this letter! What a wonderful way to introduce students to the theme of Fahrenheit 451 that books are so dangerous that the institutions of society — schools and parents — might be willing to team up against children to prevent them from reading one. It’s easy enough to read the book and say, ‘This is crazy. It could never really happen,’ but pretending to present students at the start with what seems like a totally reasonable ‘first step’ is a really immersive way to teach them how insidious censorship can be I’m sure that when the book club is over and the students realize the true intent of this letter they’ll be shocked at how many of them accepted it as an actual permission slip. In addition, Milo’s concern that allowing me to add this note will make him stand out as a troublemaker really brings home why most of the characters find it easier to accept the world they live in rather than challenge it. I assured him that his teacher would have his back.“

You look like you could use a friend, outlander. Perhaps I can be your friend. I'd like you to help me recover some gold.
