From Cao’s statement: “I am interested in globalization and how it shapes modern society, written language, and visual vernaculars. To do this, I implement speculative languages like toki pona to experiment with (letter)form, metalanguage, computation, and image. This language is posited as a future language to eliminate the obstacles caused by language in international communication so that people can quickly interpret information in an unfamiliar context. My thesis work focuses on developing a process in which to examine various modes of communication and future forms of written language. In synthesizing languages of the past and present, both speculative and the applied, I am developing an understanding of the potential of universal languages. simplify the language: Toki Pona
Toki Pona = simple language or good language, was created to say the maximum using the minimum: 123 words and 14 sounds.
Toki Pona is based on the spontaneous tradition of creating a common language by people who speak different languages.
It focuses on the universal elements of life: person, food, water, good, giving, sleeping, ... and eliminates all concepts that go beyond the basic needs of survival and communication.
The fundamental concept is Pona = good, simple.
It is a language that, instead of disconnecting from direct experience through abstract and complex concepts, reconnects speech to the environment in which it occurs, now to communication.
Its 123 words have very different origins .

Au final, l’espéranto n’est pas parfait, mais c’est clairement la moins pire des solutions pour avoir une langue facile à apprendre par tout le monde. (Et apprendre une langue, c’est tout de même un effort considérable, même si ce n’est que de l’espéranto)
Le toki pona ? Un peu plus de 120 mots, 48 h d’apprentissage. Alors certes on ne peut pas décrire précisément de nombreuses choses. Mais avec un contexte on peut facilement se faire comprendre.
Vu l’investissement nécessaire pour la maîtriser et le fait qu’elle soit presque neutre, je trouve que c’est une langue qui gagnerait à être plus répandue pour une communication internationale courante.
Par contre je ne pense pas qu’elle soit utilisable dans un contexte informatique, et ne parlons pas
des domaines diplomatiques et juridiques.

Une remarque : les langues asiatiques sont différentes ; le coréen a quelques dizaines de signes et un alphabet.
Pour l'avantage aux anglophones natifs aujourd'hui, tu as bien raison. C'est prouvé qu'en cas de problème ou de conflit, ils seront avantagés, même sur les bilingues. De même les pays des langues germaniques sont avantagés sur les autres (c'est d'ailleurs pour ça que ce sont souvent eux qui parlent le mieux anglais). etc.
L'espéranto a quand même pas mal de problèmes. Le premier, c'est qu'une langue cela vient avec une culture et des locuteurs (la francophonie par exemple), et soyons raisonable, l'espéranto n'en est pas à ce stade : qui parle véritablement, sérieusement (dans son environement, sur plusieurs générations) dans la vie de tout le jour, espéranto couramment, hormi quelques rares exceptions ? Cela diminue l'attrait de la langue.
Un autre souci, c'est que c'est un peu mieux que l'anglais mais loin d'être la solution pour un langage international. Zamenhof avait beau être polyglotte, sa langue reste très occidentale. Tout ne va pas au plus simple dans l'espéranto non plus, il y a des déclinaisons et des lettres diacritées (Zamenhof a grandi en Pologne). Il y a des critiques de linguistes concernant l'espéranto, qui ont notamment conduit à la création de l'ido ; l'Ido est lui considéré comme imparfait par ses créateurs. Dans la liste des langues simples à apprendre, on pourrait aussi citer le Toki pona.
Bref pour moi, c'est intéressant et bien pour s'amuser, mais pas prêt pour la production.
