Top 100 Board Games of All Time, 2022 Edition (50-41)
Okay, I'm not gonna lie. I have a HUGE presentation at work tomorrow and have been up late trying to get it done but I owed you guys another list segment so... I just had ChatGPT do all the blurbs.

Don't worry, the rankings are all mine, and I'll vouch for everyone single one of these. But for the text - well, let's just say you may w

Okay, we’re starting to get to some meatier games. That’s a trend that will likely continue, although today’s list is almost completely absent of short filler games. This section of the list also has some games with some of the best table presence on the list, and a reasonable amount of new blood – half of them have never made an appearance on my list before! The cool thing about working on a list like this is that you'll spend a month pushing things up and down the list, be pretty sure that you've got a list that you're proud of, then start writing it and realizing that, actually, you have no memory of how some of these games are played. Then you'll look closer at the rules and you'll wonder, "

Top 100 Games of 2022 (100-91)
I like ranking stuff. I just do. I have a pathological fondness for ranking everything from Marvel movies to guitar players to movie starlets to stupid Elon Musk quotes. Normally, it's just sad, but when it's games, suddenly it's CONTENT. My opinions as a game designer have WEIGHT. It's not just made up bullshit.I'm a professional game designer, but my expertise is in the digital

"The fates of Republicans and Democrats began to diverge markedly after the introduction of vaccines in April of 2021. Between March 2020 and March 2021, excess death rates for Republicans were 1.6 percentage points higher than for Democrats. After April 2021, the gap widened to 10.6 percentage points."

But does it account for there being more old Republicans than Democrats?

If you can't tell the difference between the two political parties after the last decade, you really have no place opining on politics. Or probably anything else of importance, honestly.

First, let's narrow down a few where the words are so close we shouldn't include both in the big competition.

Which word better describes the 2022 zeitgeist?

If you see this toot (yeah this one right here), can you boost it for me? It will help my new server federate with the wider Mastodon network. 🚀 🙏

The man who thinks the left are bad because they might voice opinions that might result in a lot of dead people is all wound up and set to flood Twitter with nazis and antivaxxers next week.

Here's David Carroll @profcarroll on Content Warnings (CW) at Mastodon.

"Another way I like to think about this feature is as Consent Widgets, where instead of trying to trigger people on their timelines and getting rewarded for that, you erect some friction akin to a subject line, creating a layer of inferred consent in the timeline experience. A Consent Widget asks, would you consent to opening up my post about an intense topic?"

@ypc_bunsen @freemo Given your response, you were going to move off QOTO because you thought you didn't share its policy towards "free speech", without knowing what that policy actually was?

One of the more entertaining delusions being thrown around by the Elon sycophants is this weird idea that Elon has gotten rid of all the bad engineers and is left with the cream of the crop. In reality, the good engineers had offers in their mailbox before Elon’s first day, and happily took them once Elon made it clear that his vision of Twitter was a train wreck.

What Elon has left are mostly engineers who CAN’T jump (such as those on visas).

'Move fast and break things' might work for websites, but this is not acceptable for the physical world. More SW screw-ups by Tesla. Fr-agile?

It is both sad and pathetic how many crypto advocates are desperate to declare and prove that FTX is somehow unusual and not merely the most ambitious con of the entire scamtastic crypto sector.

Sure, you've probably made some purchase decisions you regret, but have you ever just set fire to 44 billion dollars? No? Why would anyone?

Ah right. Well, when you purchase a company - for 'da lulz' or some other reason, you pick up a whole bunch of things as part of the package deal. Let's take a quick gander at what Elon paid money for - and then take a look at how he's systematically destroying each one.
