Just got a weird vibe from Ash's Mum and Mr Mime.... #pokemon
@jezlyn Ooh! I am in Thailand!
I will literally try every possible social media to avoid using Twitter, so Mastodon here we go. I am a researcher and I love studying biological fibres, but even more I love rearranging biological data collected by doctors, biologists and zoologists. This is why I am working on a bio data-collection app.
@Tutanota I don't have 3 friends 😝
Omfg, I'm so in love with this Smurfs episode (from the 2021 3D animated series). 😂
@trinsec Sounds like Nuns On The Run...
I have done a lot of teaching in low-socioeconomic areas and am pretty good with student care issues that can relate to that situation. I learned today about students at the other end of the money scale. Affluent neglect is something I had never heard of but quite common at my school (it has boarders). Not sure what to look for so I will have to ask questions #AffluentNeglect @edutooters
@trinsec Wait, Skip-Bo is on DS?!
@StefanThinks This made me spit my coffee! Thank you 😄
@trinsec Ground coriander and ground cumin are always added to my taco stuff. And chilli!
@trinsec Professional Development / Training days
@textfiles I have just discovered this.. https://www.removepaywall.com/
@gesus Thank you! Mildly surprising.
"People don't want preservatives or things that alter the pH in what they eat."
Man, chemphobia is so frustrating.
Any compound that ionises to yield either H+ or OH- can alter pH.
Vitamin C is an acid (ascorbic acid). Vinegar is an acid (acetic acid).
Baking soda is an alkali (sodium hydrogen carbonate).
Anything you eat goes through your stomach which contains hydrochloric acid at a pH ~1.5-2, yet blood pH is ~7.4 (when healthy)
@Bitnacht@troet.cafe @edutooters This is something I did not think of. Thanks!
@DrRacheal Still on the waiting list for that. Ahh well. I was keen for run and beetle updates!
