Someone submitted a LEGO Idea of the “this is fine” meme and I’m here for it.

Don’t know LEGO Ideas? People can submit ideas for kits and anyone can vote for them. If they reach a target number of votes they can make it into production.

They got the votes. 👀

At work we have started a new project called "Hot Chocolate Leather Queen" with sub projects like "transfemme" and "black justice". It has nothing to with any of that. We named it that to keep the prudish AI bots from stealing our work.

Omg. Finally I have an Ikea Poang chair and I could not be happier...

Fighting a losing battle for better IT security, I sent the Big Train sketch about no more wanking in the office to everyone in the company from the HR role account. I'd telneted in to a mail server from external dial-up. Got what I wanted.

@Redfuchs this is so true and also reminds me of this wonderful comic, which I treasure very much.

There is something remarkably aggravating about nearly a century-old papers, restricted behind a paywall.

#3101 Good Science

If you think curiosity without rigor is bad, you should see rigor without curiosity.

I have students completing their Extended Essays for the IB. Told them we all know they are using AI so you have to acknowledge it. They still refused to cite. I then said that in their reflection they have to comment on "skills developed and lessons learned". Here comes the AI admittance! "I used AI to help me compare my sources" "I used AI to tell me if the source I have contains arguments I need" "I used AI for sources but found a lot of them were dead links" I used AI to help my Chinese documents align with my English ones". Whether I like them using it or not, they might as well learn something. Also, these are all considered as acceptable use within th IB Academic Integrity use.

The algorithm just spat out the band Feuerschwanz and I am in love.

Do not care for that Doctor Who finale at all.
