@Librul_Azzole True- and I could talk about what I see wrong with those authors and why I don't quite see them as economists- but that wouldn't change your mind.

@Librul_Azzole yeah I guess so. What has been an important influence upon my beliefs are authors like Hayek, Friedman, Thomas Sowell. They might provide some food for thought- even though they go against your opinions. (if you haven't read). But it always good to open yourself up to challenging ideas. Remember - wealth doesn't just exist as a finite resource to be equitably distributed. It has to be continually created. Economics is rather fascinating and often counterintuitive in its prescriptions.

@Librul_Azzole I'm not actually a fan of Jeff Bezos. I am however a capitalist- but not a corporatist. There is a difference. Just a Milton Friedman fan. But I try not to define people solely by their political beliefs.

@Librul_Azzole Ok well- I'll do some research on this. (I'm not aware of his employees complaining about his management style).

@Librul_Azzole yes, interested in hearing more (not a union fan, but not willing to overlook exploitation either)

@Standplaats_KRK Yes, there are crypto billionaires (so to speak). But please be aware too that not all crypto is bad for the environment. Only that crypto that uses Proof of Work (mostly Bitcoin). Other currencies do not use that. And many developers are hard at work looking for an alternative.

Just the best damn video short I've seen in a long long time. Awesome

@Librul_Azzole Did I miss something? Some news I'm not aware of? Why is he disgusting? He is someone who is helping mankind reach Mars, become more interconnected thru hyperloops, and moving cars away from fossil fuels. He is also employing alot of people in the process. I can think of many more people I would find disgusting- it might take me all day to name them.

Important News: The Universe is EXPANDING .... but we gotta enjoy ourselves while we're here. Remember that!!! As this wise man says youtu.be/5U1-OmAICpU

Enjoying my time here so much today- much more than the site that shall not be named. Appreciate the civility too! This is going to be addictive.

@freemo no, you can never stop being interesting. Office workers have their cubicles, other workers are climbing telephone poles or fixing pipes. Your sentence is to always be interesting (sorry friend). It gets easier with time. And if you're single - well, thats a bonus.

This man I admire- but darn, he desperately needs a vacation! Why can't he see that?. sciencealert.com/here-s-what-e Can we do an intervention? Anyone know his goth girlfriend?

@bscheese@bsd.network Interesting observation - agree. And most people are not critical thinkers imo - they tend to follow the belief systems of the political party/group. And its hard to break away from that (even when aware). I think its a tragedy what politics is doing to individuals, and communities. My wife is prone to the partisan echo chamber - I keep telling her to think outside of politics- life in general is far more interesting.

Article about doctors leaving their practices - which is a sad sign- and says alot about how much power corporate America has. And the government is culpable in this as well. Its almost like corporations and the government work hand in hand. Who would have thought? nbcnews.com/business/business-

@Jennyjinx please cheerlead away if it brightens someone's day

@Jennyjinx Society does a number on female self-esteem in this society. Its terrible. Most men (imo) are clueless about that- and many fail to see a) how they contribute to that and b) the long-term consequences that follow.
