If anyone's wondering why nazism happened, all they have to do is watch Fritz Lang's _Die Nibelungen_.
Just to make myself clear, it's not a political movie or anything, but if that's how Germans saw themselves and others, it really explains everything.

@freemo But, that said, I was also looking earlier today into buying a good version of Wagner's Ring cycle. I have never listened to it in its entirety and I'm curious.
