@vaartis I do have Anna Karenina in Russian, but I can't speak a word of it, so... Actually, maybe it was Ukrainian and I could never tell. (It was given to me by an Ukrainian friend many years ago.)

If I ever visit Russia, I'll buy everything Dostoievski and some Chekhov. If you have more recommendations, please let me know.

@vaartis It's ok. I prefer Russian books to movies in general.

@coolboymew In general, I try not to follow people who wouldn't reply to me if I talked to them. If they're not interested in interacting with other people, why should I care about whatever it is they say?

@GabeMoralesVR@mastodon.gamedev.place Read my post again. Nobody is saying they are, but it's certainly wrong for the recipient to make them public, and even more so in screenshot form (that is, without mentioning the other person). DMs are just conversations between the mentioned parties that don't involve anyone else, and that's how they should remain.

In any case, don't worry. I will never send you a DM, so it's ok if we disagree.

@louis@emacs.ch

@vaartis Thanks for the spoiler. I wanted to read the novel eventually.

@GabeMoralesVR@mastodon.gamedev.place When we say there's no expectation of privacy for DMs, that only means that admins can read them (i.e., don't send passwords or things you'd rather be kept secret), not that the other person is allowed to make them public if they so wish.

The only rule imposed on the other person is the implicit assumption that DMs are for their eyes only, because, otherwise, you would have used some other visibillity level.

No matter how you try to defend the other person's actions, they betrayed @louis@emacs.ch's trust and that's inexcusable.

@BitBun There's a small typo in the transliteration of the third panel. It says: 音ゲーとかてすか?, but it should say 音ゲーとかですか?

Also, the fourth panel seems mistranslated. I assumed リズム感ないのかなあ would mean: “I guess I have no sense of rhythm”, since she's mumbling (mostly) to herself.

@eSheep I have never seen that in BOTW. I guess I'll have to pay _even_ more attention.

Personal Life

@Unit It is unfair indeed, because, for one, they are not bad things, but, even if they were, they would not be the person's fault. They say more about the person using them than about whoever they're used against.

@louis@emacs.ch Including myself, even though I know use the DT880. Not only do they posess a great sound quality, but are also very comfortable.

@galdor@emacs.ch

I wonder why he didn't try Codeberg instead of going back to GitLab and GitHub. Sad news anyway.

@ramirenko @euklidiadas
