@noyoushutthefuckupdad I read more printed magazines now than ever, but most are related to old stuff, like _RetroGamer_, or music, like _Uncut_, _Mojo_ or _RecordCollector_. I also enjoy reading technical magazines from the 80s.

In my opinion, the demise of most printed magazines had more to do with what you say in your post (their info becoming quickly out of date) than with the format itself or the advent of the Internet. I wouldn't buy a magazine to find out about the latest gadgets or shit like that. I want them to be as timeless as possible, so I can keep coming back to them.

@kaia Last time I checked, Greta Thurnberg had about 80k or so. My own admin had more followers than Linus (about double the number), and we're blocked by a lot of instances. 9k is nothing nowadays.

I remember #slackware every day I use any of my computers, put on my Slackware t-shirt, or both.
