I'm willing to bet that a supermajority of the people sharing this would reconsider having that stance when they realise the cost and lifespan of a product sold with a single payment that's going to work flawlessly

As a kid, I managed to get a bouncy ball to hit the floor and then the ~290 cm ceiling thrice. Then I forgot about that.

Kid came home with a bouncy ball and the first thing I did was try to beat my record.

I think I'm starting to like the idea of things not coming with power adapters and using standardised methods to get power

I have now gone through airport security with analogue camera(s) and film 5 times and the mixed experience and reactions every time is kind of fascinating.

YEG: no issues the first time, flabbergasted at first the second

YXX: no issues, just "oh cool"

YCC: “if the swab comes back positive we will have to x-ray it” and also required proof it turns on. Good thing I didn’t bring a Brownie or my Solida folding camera loaded with film.

SAN: no issues
