Hearing other people gossip about the slightest thing that someone has shared about their personal life sure makes me never want to share my own life with people

Every once in a while I have the thought that I wouldn't hate being vegetarian. And then I grill a steak.

I'm very curious what municipalities might do if pressured by people with electric cars who do not have on-property parking at their homes

@freemo Aha yes, both apply well! I hadn't thought of looking at it that way

apparently if you type cooked.wiki/ before the http of any recipe webpage, it will load a stripped-down, ad-free version

Is there a rule name (in the style of “Dvorak’s Law” or “Hanlon’s Razor”) for the idea that “the encryption wasn’t compromised, rather there was a man on the inside”?

@sabbatical It's a spool from 620 film.

620 film was made between 1931-95. It was meant as an alternative for 120 film (made since 1901 and still made today) and the film itself was the same size. 120 film has a slightly larger spool made of plastic.

Since the film and the paper it's attached to is identical to 120, one can respool a fresh roll of from one spool to the other and that enables me to use my 1950's Brownie Hawkeye camera

@sabbatical I saw a thing that was explaining all the various variants of C and it's so confusing behind the scenes… so I think it's the adaptor's fault

@Vo Next time someone who does not believe in reincarnation uses it I'll have to say something like "you believe in reincarnation!?"

I've had multiple people call me "an old soul" over the years and I've never understood what they meant by that

Sometimes I wish I had always spoke Dutch to my dog so that I could yell whatever and anyone who hears wouldn’t associate it with the person they might have said hi to earlier on the sidewalk

@airsick That little swirly flag thing the text is on is my favourite doodle to do when I'm bored to this day. One of these days I should make a companion piece…

14 years ago, a recently new Internet acquaintence sent out stickers to people who gave him their address on Tumblr.

Today I found my "OHEY" sticker in a stack of files I thought was empty. Life is good.

The single most annoying thing on social media is when an account just stops being used with no explanation.
